Broadway Cinema: The Broadway Cinema was opened on 26 August 1936 with a black tie gala reception and a screening of ‘Follow the Fleet’ starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Letchworth Garden City Railway Station: The booking hall was opened in 1913, superseding the temporary wooden station built by Great Northern Railway in 1905, which took the first commuters to and from London. The booking hall is produced in a fine Arts and Crafts design, in contrast to the more utilitarian platform buildings.
